PB3

Part 1: My classmate has suggested me to make my research more narrow. For example "What kind of virtual stimulus? How old is this person? Is it a positive or negative stimulus? These are just some suggestions that I think will take your already interesting Acura to a new level." This feedback and other similar one help me think more into the question and narrow it down. I'm thinking about narrowing it down a bit more to see if I can still find information on it, because before I narrow it down too much and didn't mind much information.

Part 2: Does violent visual stimulus affect a person thinking of right and wrong?

Part 3:

Hi, I'm Kong Chen. I'm a freshmen wanting to major in Psychology and Social Science. I saw your previous research on belief bias, deductive reasoning, conditionals. I am trying to do a ACURA project on the effect of visual stimulus on thinking. It would be a great help if you could be my professor for this project.

PB2A part 1&2

Gayle Schwark, Ph.D - studies social cognition, error in reasoning and ability to apply logic.

I find her studies in reasoning the most intriguing because it is used in everyday life. It can also be view in different field of psychology, such as humanistic that focus on free will and behaviorism which believe behavior is caused by the enivorment. I would devote my long time study in critical thinking and error in reasoning

PB1B

Genre generators target certain conventions of a genre to give it audiences the genre they are looking for. This let the generator give the correct type of image, essay, or words to the person.
The first generator from SCIgen generates random computer science research papers. Some conventions this generator would look for are computer science related topics, heading, references, table of content, and graphs.

The second generator from pandyland generator random Comic strips. It conventions includes boxes,  cartoon art styles, bubble text, comedy, and colorful. Not every comic strip has every conviction listed but it does contain most. For example one of the cartoons isn’t colorful but it has other the other convention.

Another example would be the cartoon strip without any bubble text. Instead, it shows the whole story with a colorful and emotional cartoon art, which let the reader understand the story without words.

The third generator shows random memes. Their memes share theses conventions, image, face with a reaction, humor, bold white text, and text top and bottom of the image. The generator does look for most of these conventions in a meme but not all. This can be seen from the image below. The image on the left shows the characters having clear expression while the left doesn’t. This show the generator look for most of the convention but not all.

The last genre generator that I found is a game idea generator. This generator generators random words/phrase for environment, goal, genre, rules, wildcard for the game. Each category has its own conventions to follow. In the environment section, the word must be a place. Goal section is a phrase with an objected. Genre section is an adjective that shows the type of the game. The rules section showing phase that gives the player a restriction. The last section wildcard is just any random thing.

Each generator has different conventions since each genre is unique. Because of this each generator show a different gene. Although not every convention are shown from the product of the generators, they contain most of them to make it fit the gene.
Thinking about the way these genre generators work help better understand a genre because it shows us what kind of convection make up a certain genre.
